Learn the facts about concussion

The public is invited to learn about concussions, which are traumatic brain injuries that alter the way the brain functions, at a free lecture called, ?Concussion=Brain Injury. Know the Facts.? Join Barb Wasilk, program supervisor at the Centegra Neuro-Rehabilitation Center and Julia Szot, a case manager at the center. They will discuss symptoms of concussions, academic implications and resources for someone who has suffered a concussion. The talk will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21 at Centegra Health Bridge Fitness Center-Crystal Lake, 200 E. Congress Parkway. To register, call 877-CENTEGRA.

Maximize exercise time

Learn ways to get the most out of every workout at ?Maximize Your Exercise,? a free lecture about designing and executing exercise programs. The talk will cover the essential components of exercise programs and will provide ways for attendees to reach their goals, no matter what they are. There will be time for questions and answers after the program. The talk will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22 at Centegra Health Bridge Fitness Center-Crystal Lake.
